## What It Is

The Canada AI Disclosure and Governance Observatory is a verification-first public research dashboard tracking what TSX and TSXV issuers disclose about AI data, models, compute, suppliers, deployment, risk, and control. It is a listed-issuer disclosure dataset, not a public-sector algorithm register.

## Current Scope

As of July 2026, the research enumerates the full TSX and TSXV directory, roughly 3,694 entities. Evidence coverage is narrower and depends on successful filing retrieval and extraction. The public dashboard currently identifies 508 listed companies that mention AI in official filings and 57 that disclose explicit AI governance language.

The 57 of 508 ratio is 11 percent. The corresponding disclosure gap is 89 percent. These figures describe explicit disclosure among companies with AI mentions. They do not prove internal AI use or the absence of undisclosed controls.

## Evidence Method

Signals come from official-source documents, including issuer-hosted reports and filed annual reports. Evidence is separated by posture and marked as manually reviewed or automated screening. Automated screening never proves company use. Only reviewed internal-deployment evidence may support a company-use claim.

The real-filing accuracy set remains below its publication threshold, so the Observatory makes no publication-grade precision claim.
